Justine Norton-Kertson is an editor and publisher as well as an author who writes stories, poems, screenplays, and music. They're the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Android Press and Solarpunk Magazine, and co-founder of Nerd Horror Media. Their short fiction and poetry has been published or is forthcoming in Utopia Science Fiction Magazine, Rulerless, Jupiter Review, and World Weaver Press, among others. Their anthologist debut, Bioluminescent: A Lunarpunk Anthology, was longlisted for the 2023 BSFA Award, and they're editor of the Best of Utopian Speculative Fiction series. Justine's debut nonfiction book, Utopian Witch: Solarpunk Magick to Fight Climate Change and Save the World, is forthcoming from Microcosm Publishing in July 2024.
Justine has been composing and performing music for over two decades with bands such as The Clover Fields, 7 Story Sound, and Azure Down. They're the founder and creative mind behind the neofolk band, Ashera, whose most recent album, Rob the Rich, released in December 2021. Justine is proud to have recently been named one of the 2023 Grist 50 Fixers. They currently live in rural Oregon with their partner, puppies, cats, goats, and bunnies.
