Robert Allerton Parker

Robert Allerton Parker was born and raised in Alameda, California. In 1909 he graduated from the University of California. In 1914 he moved to in New York and became associate editor of Current Opinion. In 1920, he became a fullt-time writer, writing for art magazines of as well as several biographies. At the time of his death, in 1970, Parker was working on a history of the theater.
