Martin Griffiths

Dr Martin Griffiths developed an Ecology and Biological Monitoring Handbook in 2012, with Reindeer Torenbeek, as part of the EU knowledge exchange programme with China. He was also co-author, with Chris Chubb, of the sister book to this, Regulation for Water Quality, published by FWR in 2014.
Martin is an expert in water quality strategy, regulation and policy. He initially trained as an aquatic biologist at London University. He was Head of Water Quality Policy in the Environment Agency and latterly Deputy Director of Regulation in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in London. He is a Visiting Professor at Cranfield University and lectured on a number of MSc programmes. He also works as an independent consultant on water and environmental issues.
