Michael Ryan is a short story writer, essayist, poet, scientist and medical writer. His first award for writing, won at age fourteen, was presented by Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. His early poems were published in The Poet's Workshop 1998 (Duke University). A Ph.D. scientist, he has designed and written clinical protocols for the study of anticancer drugs and antibiotics; and has written and edited more than two hundred scientific reports. Time, You Thief is his first memoir.
