Lise Gast

**Lise Gast** wurde 1908 in Leipzig geboren. Die entscheidenden Jahre ihrer Kindheit verbrachte sie auf dem Lande, und dort entdeckte sie ihre Liebe zu Pferden, die ihr ganzes Leben lang anhielt. Die Sehnsucht nach Pferden war es auch, die sie landwirtschaftliche Lehrerin werden ließ - aber sie bekam kein Pferd zu sehen. 1933 heiratete sie ihren besten Jugendkameraden und Vetter, mit dem sie acht Kinder bekam. Das achte Kind wurde erst nach dessen Tod auf der Flucht geboren. 1955 gründete sie den Ponyhof in Lorch/Württemberg, wo sie kleine Pferde züchtet.
»Die meisten meiner Kinder reiten, und einen anständigen Beruf haben sie alle«, erzählt Lise Gast über ihre Familie. »Da ich für meine Kinder dasein mußte, verdiente ich mir ihren und meinen Lebensunterhalt und ihre Ausbildung durch das Schreiben von Büchern. Ich schreibe, im Gegensatz zu den meisten meiner Kollegen, ausgesprochen gern. Drei meiner Töchter schreiben bereits auch. Das und das gemeinsame Reiten verbindet unsere Familie sehr. Jetzt reitet schon die dritte Generation, vielleicht bringen wir es noch auf Urahne, Großmutter, Mutter und Kind im Sattel.«— aus Eine unordentliche Familie
