William Archer Sholto Douglas

W.A.S. Douglas has also had an active career as a journalist. He has traveled widely in Europe, Africa, Asia, adn America, has served as soldier or correspondent in six wars, and landed in Normandy on D-Day. For years he has contributed short stories and articles to popular magazines and more recently he has combined with Mr. Robert Casey to bring their joint-authored books the sum total of two outstanding talents. (Jacket cover of The World's Biggest Doers, The Story of the Lions.)

Headstone in Arlington National Cemetary lists him as 1st LT U.S. Army WWI, Royal Army - Boer War, WWII War Correspondent
