Brunero Gherardini is a priest from Prato (Italy), since 1960 in the service of the Holy See. Until 1995, he was Professor of Ecclesiology and Ecumenism at the Pontificia Universita' Lateranense. He has authored over 100 books along three concentric lines of research: the Reformation, Ecclesiology, and Mariology.
Monsignor Gherardini is a canon of the Vatican Basilica and the editor of 'Divinitas', a leading international journal of theology.
