I've been Publishing some books for communicating ideologies to human beings that look like throwing the rose-petals down the Grand Canyon and waiting for my offspring who will be hearing the echo.

While detained in several South Vietnam concentration camps by the communist regime from 1975 to 1981, Bright-Quang maintained his love for art and poetry. The Vietnamese communists for art and poetry imprisoned him. The Vietnamese lieutenant imprisoned him. Bright Quang came to the United States on November 22, 1993 under the Humanitarian Operation program (H.O/20), which was designed to bring in former political prisoners from Vietnam. He now resides in Redwood City, California. Bright Quang was born in 1948, in Quangngai Province, Vietnam. His full name is Nguyen Xuan Quang and his pen name is Bright Quang. Bright Quang married with Huyen Ton Nu Cam Bich in 1968 and had seven children. His children graduated from the American universities after they settled in the United States of America because Bright Quang said: “The great end of my life is not money, but this is my own knowledge.”
His wife came from a family educator’s belonging Nguyen dynasty, in Hue Capital, Vietnam.
A graduate from the Tran Quoc Tuan High School in 1968, Bright-Quang was admitted to the Hue College of Art and earned a degree in art in 1971. In the United States, he earned an AA degree in 2001, and Bachelor's degree at California State University, Hayward, in 2003. At Hayward, Bright Quang specialized in paint and in sculpture using plaster, copper, brass, wood, stone, wire and cement to create figures of human beings and animals.

Bright Quang was awarded the International Poet of Merit Silver Award Bowl in 2001 by Poetry.Com, and in 2000 he published a book of poetry fables called Tình Nàng Khổng Long, or Dinosaur Love into the Vietnamese language, with over twenty two thousand lines of poetry. The publisher was Manifesto, UNESCO BP3-91167, Longjumeau Cedex 9, in France. He published Poetry & Art at Canada College 1998, as well as a book of poems, My Innermost Song in downtown San Jose in June 17, in 2000. He has been publishing his poetry book of My Torch and Road to the United States of America in 2006 and Animosity and Love in 2008 by Author House company and his non-fiction book is Don’t Call Me by Mother-in-law by Publisher America in 2009
Since coming to the United States, Bright Quang has exhibited pieces of artwork in a variety of locations. First, he exhibited his art at Canada College, 4200 Farm Hill Boulevard, Redwood City, CA 94063, Tel. (650) 306-3100 from October 13, 1998 to November 15, 1998. At this time he donated his statue named CONTROL to Canada College. Second, he exhibited, by invitation, A BRIGHT FUTURE THROUGH EDUCATION at the Lake Wales Cultural Center of Lake Wales, Florida, from October 15, 1998 until October 2000. The Coastal Arts League and the Peninsula Sculptors Guild of California invited him to present this exhibit.
Bright Quang exhibited his artwork in downtown San Jose, in June 17, 2000. These works included over fifteen artworks of marble, wood, brass, and cement. Fourth, his artwork YOUR BEAUTIFUL HAIR was exhibited in the Lake Wales Cultural Center of Lake Wales, Florida State; he was sponsored by his Sculptor's Guild 1780 Ralston Ave, Belmont, California. Fifth, his artwork The FROG and the RISING UP has been exhibited at the following locations by these five organizations:

In 1972 he opened a studio in Quang Ngai, then moved to Saigon, DC. There he created works of art such as old fishermen, farmers of different shapes and form. He also created animals, such as elephants, oxen, buffaloes, horses, Lions, birds and fish however pot and candleholders were also his specialties.
One of his most prized pieces was a 30 kilogram bronze statue, "Peace", made in 1987, which depicts a youth breaking an AK rifle. Because the communist authorities did not allow him to carry it to the United States, he had to leave it in Vietnam with his relationship.

When he was in jail in Vietnam, he made a wooden statue of a young lady looking at the sky. This figure represents Hope. He was allowed to bring the "Hope" statue with him and now has it in his Redwood City home.
In 1996 he created an 11" statue of Elvis Presley, using redwood bark, glue and sawdust. The wood is patterned after a photo of Elvis sitting on a stool while playing the guitar and singing a song of love and peace.
Inspired by his son's graduation ceremony at Hoover School in 1997, he created another statue to express his impressions of the event. This figure represents a reclining student holding a book made of black spotted blue granite; the figure symbolizes a bright future through education in the Unite States of America. It measures 14" x 23" x 4" and weighs 130 pounds. The sculptor named this motivational piece "Today, Studying; Tomorrow, Growing Up".

In the summer of 1998 Bright-Quang created a statue called "Reflection or Thinking". This statue was inspired by his studies of American History at Canãda College. While studying, he wanted to represent the sadness of the Vietnamese regarding the war with the United Stated. There his countrymen violate human rights. With this statue he expresses striving toward a brighter future for Vietnam. The figure represents an American-Vietnamese student who, after having studied American History, sits on a stool, reflecting on the lost war. To express sadness he used a steel frame, granite, sand and cement. Again, in the fall of 1998, looking at the destruction of two United States Embassies caused by terrorists, the sculptor created yet another work and named it "Control". Constructed with a steel frame, granite, sand and cement, it speaks eloquently of his feelings. The figure shows the earth held in two fingers, only love controls the future. Mr. Quang dreams of a world where everywhere there is no hatred, suppression, violence or destruction by war, a world of love for all people on earth where everyone can live peacefully, without hatred or suppression. Therefore, he created his doctrine of life is three Noble Truths: Happiness, Source of Life, and Sorrow and Five Right Paths: the Right Thoughtfulness, the Right Love, the Right Forgiveness, the Right Struggle, and Right Independence. These truths and rights will carry on humankind to true value which means the human race lives peacefully without hate and war in the world.
