[English] Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari (b. in Tabaristân, Persia; d. in Baghdad, Caliphate of the Abbasides), named At-Tabarî, was Persian historian and Qur'anic exegete.

[German] Abû Dscha'far Muhammad Ibn Dscharīr Ibn Yazīd at-Tabarī (geb. in Tabaristân, Persien; gest. in Bagdad, Kalifat der Abbasiden), kurz At-Tabarî, war ein persischer Historiker und Koran-Exeget.
