Czechoslovak-born Jewish musician, philosopher, psychologist, writer and lecturer. Survivor of the Jewish Holocaust, refugee from Communist Czechoslovakia, contemporary witness to the extraordinary cultural developments in the Terezin (Theresienstadt) ghetto during World War Two. Prolific writer and lecturer, with primary subject matter being drawn from his eventful life and from his lifelong struggle against totalitarianism and promotion of democracy.
