Leigh Bale

Leigh Bale grew up in the rural Western United States. As the daughter of a U.S. forest ranger, she saw some of the most beautiful backcountry in the world. Her parents taught her a deep and abiding love for family, country and God. As a child of eight years, Leigh started writing plays and made her girlfriends act them out for the entire neighborhood. She has always been a voracious reader with a curious mind. She wrote her first full-length book when she was in middle school, and felt mortified when one of her classmates found and read the story. Years later, she gained the confidence to submit her work to a national publisher.

Leight met her husband when he had just started graduate school. Two weeks later, they were engaged to be married. She obtained a degree in History and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Like her husbans, she has worked for years in the education industry, but nothing is more important to her than her family and the Lord. She lives in Nevada with her professor husband of more than thirty years, their son is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and their daughter is a student. Her favorite diversions are traveling with her husband, playing with her beautiful granddaughter and spending time with her family.

Leight is an inspirational romance author and member of the Romance Writers of America, the American Christian Fiction Writers, and the Faith, Hope and Love Chapter of RWA. Her debut Love Inspired novel, The Healing Place, was published by Steeple Hill in December 2007, and she won the prestigious Golden Heart for best Inspirational in 2006. She is currently busy working on her next novel and invites you to visit her web site: http://www.leighbale.com
