Hiro Sachiya (ひろさちや Hirosachiya, born 1936) is a Japanese religious scholar and a published authority on Buddhism. His birth name is Masuhara Yoshihiko (増原 良彦).
He was born in Osaka Prefecture and studied Indian Philosophy at Tokyo University, graduating in 1960. Under the pen name Hiro Sachiya (derived from the Sanskrit Satya), he has written more than 400 books and articles. His large Buddhist-themed manga series Bukkyo komikkusu (仏教コミックス, Buddhism Comics) is a wide-ranging popular introduction to Buddhist history and teaching in 108 illustrated volumes.
