Jonathan MacKinnon (ed.)

Jonathan MacKinnon (1869-1944), born in Inverness Co., Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, was twenty three years old when he launched Mac-Talla, which was, at the time, the only such (Scottish) Gaelic publication in the world.

Mac-Talla ("Echo") was a newspaper/magazine published weekly (later biweekly) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, between May 28, 1892, and June 24, 1904, around 540 issues in all.

This information is from Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, which has all 12 volumes of Mac-Talla available in PDF form.
