Tom Miller is the author of La ruta de los Panamás about South America, En la frontera, which recounts adventures on the U.S.-Mexico border, and Trading with the Enemy: A Yankee Travels Through Castro's Cuba. His articles have appeared in Smithsonian magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and other newspapers. Miller resides in Tucson, Arizona.
