Jenny Doughty, formerly Jenny Green, is a British freelance writer and poet who has lived in Maine since 2002. She is a former English teacher, and Education Adviser to Penguin Books in the UK. In addition to poetry, she has also written children's non-fiction, Historical Diaries, Letters and Journals, and Breakthroughs in Science and edited Key Poets, an anthology of pre-20th century poetry, under the name Jenny Green. Her short stories and articles have been published in a number of magazines which include Bella magazine, Parenting, and First Steps, where she also did a stint as an agony aunt (Brit-speak for a person like Dear Abby who offers answers to readers' problems). In the United States, her poems have been featured in Gestalt Review, Naugatuck River Review and Horticulture and Pulse online magazines. She also moderates the talk forum of the British TV program QI and contributed research to their Book Of Animal Ignorance and their interactive DVDs A Quite Interesting Game and Strictly Come Duncing.
She has never been to Australia, and the books relating to Australia and foreign languages on this page are definitely by a different Jenny Green.
