David Otho Davis (10 July 1906 - 20 August 1982)
David Otho Davis, the son of Wilbur Layton Davis (1881-1952) and Dorette Telgmann Davis (1878-1960) was born on 10 July 1906 in Kendall, Arizona, United States. He married Margaret Winton King Davis (1907-1979) and at the age of forty he was a Colonel in the US Army in 1946. He died on 20 August 1982 in Texas where he was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Temple, Bell County (Plot: Section 4).
"That land down there" was a 16 page booklet (Issue 255) of Agriculture information bulletin written for the Soil Conservation Service, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in 1962.
