Dr. Gohar Mushtaq received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from York College (USA) and received his MS and PhD from Rutgers University of New Jersey, specializing in Medical Biochemistry. Later, he also completed his Masters Diploma in Echocardiography from the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Gohar is a medical research scientist with experience in diverse areas such as cancer research, infectious diseases and cardiology. Dr. Gohar received his Doctorate in Medical research from Rutgers University, U.S.A. From his childhood, he received thorough Islamic education from his father. Later on, he studied classical Islamic sciences from various Islamic teachers including Sheikh Abdur Rehman Kashmiri (Brooklyn, New York), Sheikh Dr. Ismael Mehmood al-Azharee (New Jersey), Mufti Abdur Rehman ibn Yusuf (London), Imam Tarek Chebbi al-Tunisi (Florida) and Dr. Ahmed H. Sakr Lebanese (California).
The books of Dr. Gohar have a unique style much different from other Islamic books as his books provide scientific research from physical and social scientific journals with references to explain the wisdom of Islamic teachings. The main reason for this unique approach is that Dr. Gohar himself is a scientist who got training in scientific research by some of the best Western scientists. Dr. Gohar is a contributing author to more than 50 scientific research papers published in peer-reviewed high impact international scientific journals. Dr. Gohar is the author of the following books:
