Dumitru Găleșanu

Dumitru Găleșanu (born December 5, 1955; Potlogeni village, Tia Mare commune, Olt County, in Oltenia) is a jurist, postmodern Romanian writer, poet-philosopher, essayist and book illustrator. Between 1981 and 1986, he attended undergraduate studies at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Law, Legal Sciences profile. In the period between November 1, 1989 and September 3, 2014, he followed his professional career in the judicial field, fulfilling the function of magistrate-judge, first at the Râmnicu Vâlcea local first-instance Court and then continuing at the Vâlcea County Tribunal. He is known as a postmodern writer and poet, the style used in the elaboration of his writings having pronounced scientific, cosmodern and/or metaphysical accents.
Most of his lyrical-philosophical or prose works, which have enjoyed wide appreciation from specialized critics, have been published in Romanian, Italian or English.
