Julie Clark was born and raised in Santa Monica, California, where she grew up reading books on the beach while everyone else surfed. After attending college at University of the Pacific, she returned home to Santa Monica to teach. Julie is the New York Times bestselling author of The Last Flight, which has earned starred reviews from Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, and Library Journal, and the New York Times has called it “thoroughly absorbing.” It’s been named an Indie Next Pick, a Library Reads Pick, and a Best Book of 2020 by Amazon Editors and Apple Books. Her debut novel, The Ones We Choose (2018), has been optioned for television by Lionsgate. Her most recent novel is The Lies I Tell. She lives in Los Angeles with her two sons.
