The day that Daniel S. Mitrovich first ran in the New York City Marathon was a day that changed his life. Upon discovering that Marathon founder, Fred Lebow, had cancer, Dan resolved that Fred Lebow should be honored, first, by President George Herbert Walker Bush, and second, that a more permanent tribute should be found to memorialize Mr. Lebow. This led Dan on a remarkable journey, one that resulted, finally, with the placement of a statue of the founder in New York’s Central Park—one that Dan was told would not happen. President Bill Clinton has written the forward to Dan’s book, which will underscore its significance.
Dan, one of six children both to Jewel and George Mitrovich—he’s number five—grew up in San Diego, California, where he would find his way to Hollywood, to Disney on Parade, and ultimately to a partnership with Linda Mitrovich in the creation of Solution Strategies, a highly successful consulting firm that works with companies to bridge their differences.
