Raul Pompéia

Raul Pompeii (R. de Avila P.), journalist, short story writer, columnist, novelist and writer, was born in Jacuecanga, Angra dos Reis, RJ, April 12, 1863, and died in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 25 December 1895. It is the patron of chair n. 33 of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, by choice of founder Domitius da Gama.
