Barbara Malley raised four children and a parade of pets in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Enjoying the shady side of sixty (very shady) when she wrote her autobiography, she golfed when the weather permitted, wrote when it didn't. She compiled two children's books based on poetry written by her mother, Ernestine Cobern Beyer: Poetry with a Purpose (1987) and Rhyme Time, a book for younger children.
Barbara lived in Weymouth, Massachusetts, in felicitous proximity to her seven grandchildren.
