If only she could get away and start fresh

Alexis Kent was desperate to leave Santa Inez. For her the West Indies had stopped being a paradise some time ago. The berth on Dominic Frazer's sloop seemed her chance to escape.

It didn't matter that the two of them would be alone on board the Marybeth for weeks on end. Dominic was a writer absorbed in his work, not interested in play.

It was after she had fallen in love with him that Dominic found out why she had run away. And once again, Lexy's whole future was threatened by the shadow of her past.

This book made me feel bad. Definitely not a feel good read!
Borderline/actually abusive.
Written in 1983 is no excuse, not typical of this author's novels

Tropical Escape - Barbara McMahon
1) ☆Island Rendezvous (Michael Donovan & Katie Harrington-Donovan)
2) ♤Come onto the Sun (Dominic Frazer & Lexy Kent/Alexis Kentfield)
