This was an early example of using programmed instructional methods for personal growth purposes. The product was used by two people working together and depending upon the specific program it had about ten sessions. The content generally followed a Rogerian approach to human relations, but used Skinnerian reinforcement theory to implant new ways of constructively relating to fellow students or workers. Programs were developed for married couples, church groups, work teams, in addition to the General Program.
The first programs were in printed form, while the later ones are on tape.
