Edition Notes
The main text includes a 'Postscript' on pages [35]-40 explaining that 'In order that the extent of Mr Viner's benefaction to the university of Oxford, and the encouragements now given (in consequence thereof) to the study of the law in that place, may bemore universally understood, it is thought proper to subjoin to this discourse a short account of his will and effects, and of the establishment which has lately been formed by the university'.
On an unsigned leaf at the end, and bound upside down in the Percy copy, is a printer's advertisement for the author's third edition of 'An Analysis of the Laws of England'.
