Edition Notes

Condensed from Robinson Crusoe and its sequel, which was originally entitled The farther adventures of Robinson Crusoe and published separately.

Some plates signed JDW [i.e. John Dawson Watson] engraved by Dalziel Brothers; also includes plates from other Routledge editions published since 1864.

Plates [21-22] are the same as those used in an [1882] edition of this title published by George Routledge and Sons. See McLean D 0335.1. According to Ruari McLean, the plates in this edition were printed by Edmund Evans. Cf. His notes at Massey College Library.

MASS copy: Lacking frontispiece. Bound in grey fine ribbed-grain cloth blocked in gold, red, black and blind, with patterned endpapers.
