At a General Assembly of the governor and company of the state of Connecticut, holden at Hartford, by adjournment, on the 11th day of October, Anno Domini 1777.

Whereas ... the governor ... on the 12th day of September 1777, resolved, that each town in this state be requested to make provision ... for each non-commission officer and soldier ... Whereupon it is resolved by this assembly, that every town ... comply with the aforesaid requisition ... but also to make the same provision for each towns whole quota of soldiers ..
