The Bishop Method of Clothing Construction is full of really useful sewing information, especially for a beginner. The book is broken down into 15 chapters, including a basic "how to" on sewing and the use of equipment and machines; everything you could want to know about cutting, patterns, measurement & tailoring; and adding details. Just a few include grain perfection, perfection in stitching, and perfection in pressing. All of the projects are accompanied by pictures, diagrams, and references to other chapters. Also included is a thorough glossary of the terms used in the book and basic sewing terms. The latter chapters are very detailed in making items work for your body type and working with any and all patterns.
