Work Description
The title poem of this collection was selected by Australian poet, Les Murray, as one of the ten best Australian poems ever written. It was re-published in the University of Liverpool (UK) literary journal, THE READER, in 2008. The book chronicles through poems Stoneking's four yeras living in one of the world's most remote locations - in the hinterland of the vast Australian outback One of the greatest collections of contemporary poetry - it went into a second edition within three weeks of its initial publication.
