Binding - beautifully bound in blue crushed levant morocco super-extra, the covers gilt tooled with an outer border and oval inner border of flowers and leaves, in centre of covers and inlaid bee surrounded by a circle of bees in gold.

Bee inlays on spine, gilt inside borders, brocade doublures, gilt edges, designed by Giraldon and bound by Noulhac, signed at foot of inside covers preserved in a morocco backed and edged wrapper.
