Song in six numbered stanzas; first line: Columbia, virtue, freedom, rise!

Followed by "Masonic hymn. (C.M.)," in six numbered stanzas, also by Richards; first lines: At God's imperial, high decree, Our master sleeps in dust.

Composed for the memorial service for George Washington at St. John's Chapel, Portsmouth, N.H., Dec. 31, 1799.

The Federal observer was printed at Portsmouth, by William Treadwell, in Dec. 1799.

Printed area, including mourning borders, measures 27.5 x 25.5 cm.
