Fisher copy: A contemporary (French?) blind tooled binding, sewn on 4 double raised leather thongs. Plain white endpapers. White linen endbands finished with a bead. Full bound dark brown calf over (unbevelled) wooden boards. Rebacked. Covers finished in blind with a 2-line fillet forming two panels; the inner panel divided by a 2-line fillet into a diaper pattern of lozenges and triangles, and tooled with a floral motif, at each intersection a larger quatrefoil tool, which is repeated in the outer panel. Engraved brass cornerpieces and central boss on each cover. Two engraved brass and leather clasps, hinged on lower cover. Top textblock edge titled in ink.
