I have this book. It was a gift (long ago) from an intellectual mentor. It is a 1787 edition. I find one of the most enduring things of interest about it is that Mssr. Bonnycastle actually included an advertisement soliciting students as a postscript to the book. The text of that advertisement is an illumination of the spirit of intellectual mentorship. Indeed, it is a very telling postscript of the importance of intellectual inheritence and creation.
The experience of reading this book -with it's old English language is refreshingly pensive and pacing -it, indeed ponders one to think...
I am so surprised that you have an electronic edition of the book. I treasure my original.
