This statistical profile of young persons who come into contact with the youth justice system in Canada was prepared at the request of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Task Force on Youth Justice, whose members posed a series of questions to be answered by data provided by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics and the provincial and territorial ministries responsible for youth justice.
