Research was done on the soil to determine if it can be relied upon as a treatment and utilization system for wastes bearing cyanide. The reactions and movements of cyanide in both aerobic and anaerobic soil conditions were outlined. Other topics discussed were cyanide distribution in the ecosystem (air, water and vegetation) and cyanide flexability. The experiments performed and a general discussion were presented.
