"The work began publication in monthly parts in green paper wrappers, 1s each, with 4 plates, from 1 June 1850, completed in 90 parts in 1857. From part 32 dedication to the Queen and Royal Coat of Arms added to wrapper. Part I of re-issue appeared 1 January 1852, 2s 6d, with colour plates increased from 4 to 10 per part.
