"Delivered at the Princess Hall, Feb. 20, 1885, at Cambridge, March 24, at Oxford, April 30"--P. [3]
Title page has "London, 1885."
LC copy has printed text on verso of t.p. (i.e., page [2]): "T. Way, 21 Wellington Street, Strand" which has been covered over by a label that reads, "The Rights of Translation and Reproduction are Reserved." Colophon has been added in ms. on p. [28]: "T. Way, 21 Wellington Street, London, W.C."
LC copy of this 1885 printer's dummy is made up with corrected copy, has colophon added in ms. and publisher's statement added in ms. on sheet that is laid in before p. [5]. Note on cover in pencil: "To be made up for 32 pg. as arranged in this. To be revised as per other copy. I will bring paper in the morning. T.W." Added in pencil in different hand on t.p.: Whistler & Way corrected 1st proof."
