Each part has separate t.p., printed in red and black.

Pagination: 173, [3] p., [13] leaves of plates; [2], 218, [2], xxix p., [12] leaves of plates.

Text printed in columns within decorative ruled borders. Many lithographed illustrations throughout the text plus 25 full-page steel engravings with guard sheets. Full page lithographs are signed: Allgaier & Siegle, Stuttgart. Engravings are signed in Roman characters: Engelbert Seibertz, erf. u. gez., Adrian Schleich, gest.; and in Cyrillic: Izdanīe A.F. Marksa, v SPB.

In publisher's binding of full brown russia leather elaborately stamped in blind with padded central cartouche and padded corner rosettes on front cover. Decorative endpapers; brass bosses on back cover; all edges gilt.

LC copy has binder's ticket (in Cyrillic) on front flyleaf: Par. perepletnai︠a︡ O. Kirkhnera, Mal. morskai︠a︡ 14; and on back flyleaf the bookseller's ticket: Bukinist V. Klochkov, S.P.B., Liteĭnyĭ pr. 55 = Libraire V. Klotschkoff, St. Petersbourg, Liteinaja 55. Probably from the library of G.V. Yudin.
