Tribal leader Leiledan in the high mountain of Taiwan had two beautiful daughters. A huge viper snake asked one to be his wife, or he would kill the whole family. Lugu volunteered to marry the viper king to save her family's lives. The Viper turned out to be a handsome young man of great wealth. Her sister became jealous when she found out the truth and pushed Lugu down a well. Viper King punished the wicked sister by turning her into a toad. He then saved his bride Lugu and moved far away to a beautiful valley where nobody has ever seen them again.
