Critics' Circle Award musical "Hello, Dolly!" book by Michael Stewart, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, based on the original play by Thornton Wilder, also starring David Burns with Patte Finley, Sondra Lee, Jerry Dodge, Gordon Connell, Charles Karel, Alice Playten, Mary Jo Catlet, Dan Merriman and Carlton Carpenter, settings designed by Oliver Smith, costumes by Freddy Wittop, lighting by Jean Rosenthal, musical direction and dance and incidental music arrangements by Peter Howard, orchestrations by Philip J. Lang, vocal arrangements by Shepard Coleman, assistant to the director Lucia Victor, directed and choreographed by Gower Champion.
