New National Theatre, W.H. Rapley, manager. First time in this city and direct from Herald Square Theatre, New York, Rice's produciton of the frisky English novelty, in two acts, entitled "The French Maid," now nearing its 350th performance at Terry's Theatre, London. Libretto by Capt. Basil Hood, music by Walter Slaughter, enlarged orchestra and chorus, under the direction of Mr. Max Knauer, captivating ballets arranged for the production by Herr Augustus Sohlke, maitre de ballet, production under the stage direction of Frederic A. Leon, from the Savoy Theatre, London, scenery by Messrs. Frank Rafter and D. Frank Dodge, original music by Walter Slaughter and Herman Perlet.
