George Abraham Grierson, eminent linguist, translator and lexicographer, translated the manuscript of Lalla Vakyani scribed in Sharda and Devnagri presented to him by Mukand Ram Shastri. (Copies of these Mss were discovered by G. Buhler in 1875.) The translation was rendered into English verse by a reputed Indologist Dr. Lionell D. Barnett (1871-1960).
