Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
While packing the box, Samuel May, Jr., found on a shelf a single copy of the Liberty Bell, addressed in Anne Warren Weston's handwriting to Miss Henzell. If this was left out by mistake, it can still be sent in the box going on board the ship, which has been delayed on account of the snow. Samual May says that "Mr. Garrison's portrait was finished at last---framed, glazed, & enclosed in a nice tight box; ---the frame was a very pretty oval one."
Includes an envelope with the delivery address: Anne W. Weston, Weymouth, Mass. In the upper right corner of the envelope, an area the size of a stamp has been cut out.
