He then mentions the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the American and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society on a Fast Day, and requests that Phelps have it printed on a Boston paper. He also talks about an abusive letters sent to him by Torrey, who is convinced by John Mason [?] that he could get a pardon if he can raise some money.
