Boston Public Library (Allen A. Brown Collection) copy bound in brown leather over boards. Printed on laid papers with vertical chainlines and horizontal wire lines. Copy includes book label of the Boston Public Library on front pastedown, along with a hand-colored ex libris (book plate) of unidentified provenance featuring a man standing next to a woman (seated underneath a tree) while playing the lute, with a two-line epigram beneath. Front flyleaf includes several markings, including a former owner's autograph in black ink script. Rear pastedown includes book plate of the Boston Public Library. Title page includes an inserted leaf, measuring 12 x 7 cm, detailing the work in question and the contribution of Amos Doolitle. Front cover detached from binding.
