This is a hints, tips, reviews, and strategy guide to Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive, and Sega Game Gear games. It originally was released under the title "Ultimate Sega Game Strategies for the Master and Genesis Systems" ISBN: 0553353128, it did not cover the Game Gear. There are 58 games reviewed with gray-scale screenshots. For each game, there is a statistics style overview; Graphics/Sound, {Controller} Response, Fun, and a over all score. There are secions with "Who", "What?", "Using the Control Pad", "Starting the Game", "Number of Levels", "Number of Lives", "Scoring", "Option Screen", and other such things along with "Secrets of the Pros". There are various other related sections, with strategies, tips, passwords, cheat codes, and even Game Genie codes, and the like. The book originally sold for $4.99 in the USA, and $5.99 in Canada.

Besides the various editions of this book, other books were released in this video game series by Bantam Books.
