A digest of the author's extensive journals. It exists in the form of 6 typescript volumes in other more complete sets. "Sets ... differing in their condition and pagination, can be seen in King's College Library, Cambridge, the London Library, and the Library of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Library of Congress holds four of the typescript volumes and microfilm of the other two from copies in King's College Library"--C.R. Ashbee / Alan Crawford, 1985. P. [463]
"The complete Memoirs are in 7 vols. of which one, vol. VI, has already been published"--Author's note on flyleaf of v. 1.
The introductions in all 4 v. are dated 1938. Crawford dates the typescripts ca. 1934.
Vols. numbered 1, 2, 3, and 7.
