A wonderful book that details everything from the length of the guard hairs on a wolf's coat, the acuity of their sense of smell, and everything in between. Wolf fans will enjoy this book for its myriad of details, and on the statistical side of things there are charts and graphs galore that detail wolf populations across the globe, as well, sadly, as the various fates they've suffered at the hands of their most feared predator - man - though the wolf recovery plans, enacted since the publication of this book, gives us home for them, and us.
