Upon the death of her father, Eve Somerville is shocked to learn that to secure her inheritance she must marry their neighbor, coldly handsome Marcus Fitzalan. As she and Marcus start to learn more about each other, her cousin Gerald, her father’s heir, comes to take possession of the entailed estate.
