"The Arion Press printed this Bible in an edition limited to 400 numbered copies for sale and 26 lettered copies for presentation to people involved in the project. The book was designed and produced under the direction of Andrew Hoyem, with the assistance of Gerald Reddan, Eric Holub, Lewis Mitchell, Peter Stoelzl, Peggy Gotthold, Leif Erlandsson, Stephanie Dal Porto, Stephen Vincent, Charles Martin, and others, including Christopher Warnock for computerized typecasting, Sumner Stone for design of the initial letters and lettering for the word Bible on the title page, and Thomas Ingmire for design of patterns for the illuminated initials and application of raised gold in 150 copies of the edition that are so embellished. The type is Romulus, designed by Jan Van Krimpen, in Monotype and hand composition. The paper is Somerset, mouldmade from all-cotton fiber in England. The presswork was done on a Miller TW two-color cylinder press. The first pages were printed in March 1999, the last in August 2000. This is the sixtieth publication of the Arion Press"--Colophon.
